Cold Start R & D

Phillips & Temro offers a complete solution to our customer’s cold starting needs.  From advanced development work on new product categories to the application of this work from concept to production, we support our customer’s development programs including concept design, prototype development, & product testing.

 

Our advanced development work strives to anticipate our upcoming customer needs in the Diesel Cold Start Technology and related fields.  From entirely new product lines to new approaches to our current product lines, we do the background work so that we can be ready for your application.

 

In the concept phase of a customer project, Phillips & Temro generates 3D CAD models to support up front computer analysis of our designs.  From digital fit checks to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to Finite Element Analysis (FEA), we seek to optimize our solutions as soon as possible in the design cycle before physical parts have been built.

 

When we transition to physical prototypes in a project, Phillips & Temro can support a wide range of solutions from quick turn SLA prototyping methods for physical fit checks to full production representative parts for testing.  In quantities from one to hundreds, we will identify the best prototype approach for the project objectives on hand to ensure fast, representative parts in the most cost effective manner possible.

 

And once those parts are available, Phillips & Temro has superior testing facilities available to test the performance & durability of the part, both stand alone and in the customer’s system.  From our two cold rooms capable of chilling a semi tractor to -40°C to our vibration test equipment, thermal cycle benches, electronic test equipment, or data collection systems, we have the resources needed to verify and validate our products in your systems.
